Heads You Win...Tails You Die

My knee has again taken a turn for the worse and I again attempt to call the doctor to reschedule my surgery date....for hopefully something within the next 2 weeks so I can get this bitch taken care of. Sorry for the language but It's been harder for me to look on the bright side these days with my being incapable of moving.

So in my incapacitated state I watched Domino, which I hadn't seen in a years time. It suited my predicament at this point because everything in the film is a life or death situation. Domino Harvey, played by Keira Knightley repeats the phrase "Heads you win, Tails you die." Of course the film is written by none other than Richard Kelley. Have you seen Southland Tales? I still question what was going on in that film.

Domino was in Richard Kelley's case a little more constrained than Southland Tales, focusing on the life of a sexy Bounty Hunter named Domino Harvey. It's easy to see why I love this film...I mean Buffy, hello? But, honestly the film is brilliant with the amount of background information covered within a 2 hour period unnoticed. Aside from my friends claim that it looks like a music video....I personally wouldn't have had it any other way. And I mean part of it is set in the beautifully fake Las Vegas.

What I did notice in the film was Domino's sense of style, which somewhat resembles what I wish I could pull off without being considered a dike. It screams badass and the nun chucks were a perfect accessory to her wardrobe. So here I give you a guide to looking like a badass Bounty Hunter:

Lumber Jack Fantasies

Stalking the mail man was an obsessive hobby of mine through high school, which I have now thankfully grown out of. My mom aided to this obsession with her compulsion of signing up for and receiving massive amounts of junk mail. Each day after school I would race home only to hover near the window waiting for the mail man to flick each item into each box. Any junk mail was appealing to me, but the Urban Outfitters catalog was gold and not for the beautiful over- priced woman's clothing, but the last five pages of cute, awkward men decked out in male geek attire. Cutting out my favorite ads I noticed a peculiar pattern- the men all appeared to have plaid shirts, large black rimmed glasses and massive amounts of facial hair. I now refer to it as the lumber jack affect. Men in sweater vests also have a warm place in my heart. I would also go to as many hockey games with my dad remaining indecisive as to which hockey player I would fantasize about more. As Hockey players tend to have a fair amount of lumber jack affect as well.

When I came across a column titled ' geek love' in Nylon's April issue it reminded me of my embarrassing crushes in middle school. I once had a crush on a boy in the same grade as I, a leader of math and history club, who coincidentally lived in the same neighborhood as I. In hopes of running into my crush I put on my roller blades and circled the neighborhood replaying geeky fantasies in my head. Now that I've confessed my infatuation with a certain breed of men I hope that you accept it (men especially).

The Appeal of A Single Vest

I've managed to find the perfect way to get a free drink wearing today's women's fashion trends, which usually never work on me. For the past year and a half the "woman vest" has graced the pages of every fashion magazine. Diane Keaton's worst dressed fashion sense has now *go figure* become the fashion to-do. The only difference between Diane and I is the vest's attraction to the same sex, rather than intelligent, paranoid jewish men.

I purchased this beautiful vest while walking through Gap before leaving for Aussi Land. The vest has now off-set it's purchased price with a free drink, a few winks, a couple of pick up lines and an offer to take me home ( which I had to of course gracefully turn down). After these events occurred , as much as I loved the sudden boost in confidence, I felt guilty for unintentionally taking advantage of a complete bar of Lesbian women from a single vest. I have official coined myself as a lesbian tease.

Your New Favorite Sweatshirt

I have searched near and far for the perfect, comfiest sweatshirt. Granted I have found a few gems, but never the holy grail of sweatshirts. Most of the comfiest sweatshirts I've found were worn by my former male mates, the irresistible cologne might have added to this effect. So when I saw that Champion was releasing a build-your-own sweatshirt online I didn't know why I hadn't thought of buying from them before. Their unisex cuts are ideal for those times that you just want to hide under your hoodie. I know you're as over joyed as I am, so take your time and create the Mona Lisa of sweatshirts, I know I did:
